An Evening on the Trails with Terrex

An Evening on the Trails with Terrex

A warm summer evening in the Lake District provided the perfect backdrop for an evening with the Terrex team at their showroom in Staveley, where Barney and Connor welcomed us in for an exclusive preview of the SS27 collection.

The evening began with a chance to explore the showroom, taking in the latest colours, styles and upcoming products before gathering for a closer look at the footwear collection. The soon to be launched Freehiker 3 boot took centre stage, with an insightful deep dive into its construction, from the sole unit and grip to the design features that make it such a capable hiking boot.

Attention then turned to the Terrex Agravic TT – the shoe that would soon be put through its paces on the local trails. Before heading outside, Barney and Connor talked through the key technologies behind the shoe, including the Continental™ Rubber outsole, Lightstrike Pro cushioning and integrated rock plate, all designed to deliver confidence, comfort and responsiveness across mixed terrain.

After getting kitted out from head to toe and fuelling up with flapjacks, it was time to hit the trails.

The evening sun was still shining, although a gentle breeze provided some welcome relief from the day's heat. It finally felt like proper British summertime.

The 5km route wound through quiet woodland and alongside the river, offering a relaxed pace that left plenty of time for conversation while putting the Agravic TT to the test. Straight away, Peppi commented on how comfortable the shoes felt from the first few steps. Lightweight and responsive underfoot, they inspired confidence over woodland roots, rocky climbs and uneven terrain without ever compromising on comfort.

For much of the team, the route itself was a new discovery. It's always a reminder that some of the best trails can be found surprisingly close to home, often just waiting to be explored.

Sweaty but smiling, we returned to Terrex HQ feeling thoroughly tested and impressed by the shoes. And, of course, no 5km run is complete without pizza waiting at the finish.

To round off the evening, Barney and Connor put us through a quick quiz to see how much we'd taken in throughout the evening. Whether we remembered every technical detail or not, we all left with a much deeper understanding of the Terrex range, the innovation behind the footwear and, most importantly, a renewed excitement to get back out on the trails.

A brilliant evening spent with great people, great kit and some fantastic local trails.
